*mistake*

On the earlier "Bellyas" riddim post, I credited Sean Paul "Faded" and Beenie Man "Fire Burn" as being on the riddim.
They are actually on the "Badda Badda" riddim which is very similar and also produced by King Jammy's and Ward 21, with exception of being released on the King Jammy's label as opposed to the "Bellyas" pressed on the Ward 21 "Mentally Disturbed" label for their initial 7" vinyl single release.
Bellyas was then pressed on double 12" LP and CD by Greensleeves Records in the UK.
My apologies.

New Sean Paul for the '99. I really like this.
The version is real catchy and it's an overall nice track.

***EDIT*** It has been brought to my attention that this song is about 10 years old. My mistake. I had never heard it before recently.

Another late '90s classic on the Penthouse label. This riddim includes the timeless crossover smash "Everyone Falls in Love" by Tanto Metro & Devonte.
There's much more heat on here from artists like Sean Paul, Mr. Vegas, Beenie Man, & Buju Banton.

*CLASSIC* Grass Cyaat riddim

Keeping with the current theme, I'm sharing another late 90's bashment classic.
Grass Cyaat was produced by Shams back in 1999. The usual suspects (Beenie Man, T.O.K, Cobra, Tanya Stephens, Red Rat, Buccaneer, etc.) were voiced on it.
This takes me back to record shopping in West Philly at Enforcer and Uhuru's. Memories...

*CLASSIC* Born Jamericans

Here is some hip hop/reggae for y'all.
Hailing from Washington D.C., Edley Shine & Mr. Notch, collectively known as Born Jamericans, were at the forefront of the hip hop/reggae sub-genre of the early and mid-1990s.
These tunes are truly classic.

*CLASSIC* Surprise riddim

Classic riddim from the Black Shadow camp, circa 2002. Reminiscent of the late '90s "Bug" riddim, but with a little more oomph & crispness on the percussion side.
These selections will still mash-up any dance.
Black Shadow Records, based out of Florida, burst onto the dancehall forefront with the "Buzz" riddim, featuring the cross-over smash "Gimmie The Light" by Sean Paul.
